
Lugain Mahmoud
Lugain is a Women’s Rights Activist with a Software Engineering background. She studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at University of Khartoum and upon graduation she worked as an Operations Engineer at Ericsson Sudan, as well as a Projects Coordinator at AMNA Initiative for stopping Violence Against Women. She then decided to follow her passion and pursue a Graduate Diploma in Gender Studies at University College Dublin. Lugain is committed to working on Development, Intersectional Equality, and Social Change . Lugain is our Gender and M&E Specialist. She is working on developing a Gender Responsive Framework for 249Startups’ projects, as well as designing programs to empower Female Entrepreneurs. She is also responsible for 249Startups’ Monitoring and Evaluation.
